Job Description

Our client has developed, over a period of 20 years, to become one of Europe’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of polyester yarns solely for the automotive sector. The company was built on the foundations of specialist knowledge, a strong ethos of high quality and customer care, and a focus on innovation. They now have an opportunity for a talented Fabric Analyst to join their East Midlands team. This role would ideally suit someone with strong weaving knowledge.

Fabric Analyst - The Role: 

  • To support the Company in dealing with technical queries from customers, by analyzing fabric samples provided by customers and determining the cause of faults.
  • To assist customers in solving fabric faults and where these are caused by yarn issues.
  • To assist in the resolution of the issues and identification of corrective actions.
  • Liaise with customers, the businesses key account managers, R&D and technical management teams.
  • Assess reported defects and identify and explain corrective actions, including completion of 8D reports. 
  • Provide feedback to key account managers and senior management to help support and minimise customer claims.
  • Communication with production sites to help identify issues and to feedback findings and conclusions.
  • Assist in identifying corrective actions to eliminate/contain quality issues.
  • Assist customers in their use of the Group's product, including making recommendations on process controls and advising how to eliminate and contain technical issues.
  • Occasional Overseas travel will be required.

Fabric Analyst - The Candidate: 

  • Technical Diploma/Degree or similar qualification. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical assistance or quality with a fabrics/textile background, ideally automotive but not essential.
  • The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to engage at all levels.
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbally. Able to clearly and concisely present and interact at all levels
  • Computer literate, organised and with the ability to prioritise.
  • Must be able to travel Oversees as and when required.
