Job Description

Our client is a Brand who deliver a range of young ladies fashion and childrenswear.  They have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Boyswear Buyer / Product Developer to join the team and work on an exciting, innovative, commercial collection for this Brand.

Boyswear Junior Buyer - The Role:

  • Working with buyer and merchandiser to understand option plan against budget and footage.
  • Understands collection calendar & how this drives the critical path.
  • Involvement and responsibility of range building with design, buyer and merchandise team to deliver a innovative, balanced & commercial range
  • Carrying out regular competitor analysis and presenting findings back to the team
  • Responsibility for costings and garment price negotiations. Can calculate margin and understands open costings.
  • Responsible for margin delivery across product areas
  • Through travel builds excellent relationships with hubs & directly with suppliers
  • Presentation of ranges, best sellers and range reviews
  • Analyses design hit rate, relays feed back to design team & hubs where required
  • Confident to source new suppliers in recognition of the business needs, aware of global specialisation & skills
  • Can formulate design recipes to influence product strategy
  • Analyses Season Review & can highlight areas to maximise sales/ reduce weakness.
  • Manages business costs for department
  • Supports on new business opportunities

Boyswear Junior Buyer - The Role:

  • Fashion related degree is essential
  • Experience within boyswear would be an advantage
  • A minimum of 3-5 years previous product development / buying experience is essential
  • A creative individual with excellent organisational skills & a keen eye for design detail.
  • You will have had experience working with factories & ideally  travelling worldwide for sourcing & meetings.
  • Experience of working on multi products.
  • Full driving license and own transport is essential
