Senior Leisurewear Designer – The Role:

Create commercial and innovative range’s based upon product range priorities, customer requirements and budget; in addition to departmental profitability guidelines.
Manage and provide direction and support to designers within your team.
Execute and professionally compile comprehensive market research, including both comparative and trend/directional reports, in order to maximise all product opportunities and challenge the customer’s direction when necessary.
In conjunction with the CAD team, enhance the delivery and execution of all presentation material, i.e. sketch and swatch, mood boards and artwork presentation.
Ensure the timely and accurate input of information to enable costing to be completed and engineered to meet departmental business requirements.
Organise all prototypes and colour samples.
In conjunction with the design team, ensure all concept garments are fit for purpose, suitable for manufacture and maximise all product opportunities.
Present ranges to the customer and internally as required in a creative and informative manner.
Experience in Adobe design packages (Photoshop/Illustrator) is desirable but not essential.

Senior Leisurewear Designer – The Candidate:

The successful candidate will be an experienced Leisurewear Designer with experience in swimwear and Beachwear too.
In addition, it is important that the successful candidate has excellent communications skills and has the ability to make sound commercial judgments whilst working autonomously.
You will be a team player, a strong written communicator, self motivated with excellent attention to detail.

Our client is one of the UK’s leading retailers of both clothing and homewares. They are looking for a talented Assistant Designer to work on their menswear formal shirting.

Assistant Designer – The Role:

Work with their designer using information provided by merchandising to establish the number of options needed in the range
Producescommercial, workable and accurate design specifications working with the product teams to pre-empt any production problems
Propose ideas about quality, trims and packaging to product teams including information about new trends in yarns, fabrics and finishes.
Work with product teams and suppliers to assess the performance of samples etc.
Review the performance of their designs by analysing relevant information such as best/worst sellers, customer returns etc., ensuring the range is fully represented in terms of colour, mood, etc., keeping their line manager informed.

Assistant Designer – The Candidate:

You must have between 2-4 years experience within a similar product area and ideally from a fashion retail background.
You will have excellent organisational skills as well as being proactive and having good attention to detail.
You should be used to working in a highly pressurised environment and be both highly creative yet be commercially aware of emerging trends.
You will also be fully competent in Photoshop and Illustrator.

Print Designer – The Role:

You will assist your Senior Designer in all aspects of research, development and administration.
Create original print artwork in repeat.

Re-working bought artwork putting into repeat and re-colouring.
Preparing prints designs for our nominated print mills.
Keep a catalogue of all bought prints to prevent any designs being sold twice to different customers.
Ordering sampling from digital printers.
Responsibility for completing necessary paperwork including Excel and PLM style sheets.

Print Designer – The Candidate:

This would suit a talented and driven graduate print designer or someone with a couple of year’s experience in Womenswear.
You MUST have strong Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator and ideally Kaledo abilities
You must also be able to confidently hand draw and have a portfolio that demonstrates all of these skills.
You will be very pro-active, hands on and willing to learn.
Strong communication skills and highly organised.
